Why NO SOLUTION is BETTER for Mullaperiyar Dam dispute

Solution for Mullaperiyar Dam ?

Solution is simple,but

NO SOLUTION is BETTER!!!

for whom? -Why?

Just Answer the following three questions.

Question 1: Is Dam’s SAFETY a PRIORITY?

Comment 1:Dam is almost safe. 
(Nobody can say that DAM IS SAFE, as 116-year-old and built by limestone and surkhi which exceeded the estimated life span of 70 years and is in an earthquake prone area, SO I ADDED "ALMOST")
Comment 2: Dam is not safe.

If you believe Comment 1, then there are two possibilities
Possibility 1:Dam will collapse

    Consequence:

    -In short term 35 lakhs of human life will be at risk (5 districts of Kerala). 
    5 Districts in Kerala is in the way of water waves(if Dam collapse) on its way
    from dam to Arabian Sea.
    -In long term 30 lakhs of human livelihood will be at risk (4 districts of Tamil
    Nadu) because of no water and no cultivation. 4 Districts in Tamil Nadu fully 
    depends on this water for cultivation and cultivation is the only way for their 
    livelihood.
Possibility 2 :Dam will not collapse.
    Consequence:
    -Still the above mentioned people (Keralites and Tamilians – Total 9 districts) 
    are betting their livelihood/life on the assurance given by Tamil Nadu 
    Government i.e DAM is safe, but technical studies says dam is not safe.
    -35 Lakhs of people (5 districts of Kerala) will be spending their every minute 
    of life fearing about the dam’s safety or fear about the end of their life/property.
    -30 Lakhs of people's livelihood are uncertain (4 districts of Tamil Nadu)
    because if the dam collapse, there will be no water or no cultivation or 
    NO FUTURE.


If you believe Comment 2, then there is only one possibility
Possibility 3: Dam will collapse!!
    Consequence:
    -In short term 35 lakhs of human life (5 districts of Kerala) will be at risk.
    -In long term 30 lakhs human livelihood will be at risk (4 districts of 
    Tamil Nadu) because of no water and no cultivation)

Conclusion for Question 1:

In all the cases, all the possibilities are against human life (65 Lakhs of Aam Aadmi-Poor people) and so we have to conclude that the dam’s SAFETY is the priority.

Question 2 :Who will loose or who will gain by a new dam and decommissioning of old dam or if NO SOLUTION for this ISSUE.

Comment 1. Tamil Nadu (New dam and decommissioning old dam)
Comment 2. Kerala (New dam and decommissioning old dam)


If you believe Comment 1, then lets analysis the gain/loss
Gain: (Tamil Nadu)
    Gain 1: 30 Lakhs people of Tamil Nadu will get the same amount of water 
    as they are getting as of today as assured by Kerala Government and so the 
    CERTAINITY of water is GURANTEED.
    Gain 2: Tamil Nadu can use the channel water for power generation as they 
    are doing right now(Periyar Power Station, Tamil Nadu).
    Gain 3: Dam SAFETY is GURANTEED and so the water guarantee- as 
    "Baby's(Dam’s) health will always be a worry for baby's Mother(Kerala), 
     not for the neighbour(Tamil Nadu)".
Loss: (Kerala)
    Small Loss: By building the new dam, Kerala has to finance the new dam 
    but will not be using the DAM for Kerala.
    Big Loss: Kerala politicians will loose this opportunity (if NO SOLUTION) 
    to blame the ruling government.
    Big Loss: Kerala politicians will loose the opportunity to unite people under
    their flag (by injecting hatred on Tamilians) and to emerge them as the leader of 
    that united people (by RISKING the innocents peoples LIFE/LIVELYHOOD)


If you believe on Comment 2, then let us analyze the gain/loss
Gain: (Kerala)
    Gain 1: 35 Lakhs people of Kerala will be SAFE for sure and NO WORRY of 
    dam bomb explosion.
    Gain 2: Keralites can use the spill over water for power generation. (If they are
     thinking of this provision)
    Gain 3: Kerala will get the control of new Dam so they can ensure safety to the 
     new Dam.
Loss: (Tamil Nadu)
     Small Loss: Tamil Nadu will loose control of new Dam.
     Big Loss: Tamil Nadu politicians will loose this opportunity (if 
     NO SOLUTION) to blame the ruling government.
     Big Loss: Tamil Nadu politicians will loose the opportunity to unite people
     under their flag (by injecting hatred on Keralites) and to emerge them as the
     leader of that united people (by RISKING that innocents peoples
     LIFE/LIVELIHOOD)


POST MORTEM OF LOSSES:
    Small Loss: TN will loose control of new Dam. This is a smaller loss because
    already the old/new dam is KERALA’s property and so it is not a real loss.
    Small Loss: By building the new dam, Kerala has to finance the new dam but
    will not be using the DAM for Kerala. This is a smaller loss because already 
    Kerala Government allotted the money for the safety of the people.
    REAL LOSS will be to OPPOSITION PARTIES of both the states or 
    for the

    POLITICIANS WHO ARE NOW FISHING IN THIS MUDDY WATER

In short if there is NO SOLUTION, then REAL LOSS is FOR PEOPLE OF BOTH STATES and REAL GAIN is FOR VESTED POLITICIANS IN BOTH STATES.

So why can’t Keralites and Tamilians can go for an amicable solution of A NEW SAFE DAM along with the AGREEMENT OF WATER GURANTEE to Tamilians

and DAM SAFETY to the Keralites. Or Why Keralites and Tamilians are betting WATER GURANTEE TO TAMILIANS and DAM SAFETY TO KERALTIES for THE VESTED INTEREST OF POLITICIANS?

Question 3 : Whom should we show our anger?

ONLY TWO CHOICES..The Choice is Yours

ON INNOCENT Tamilians (Who are depended on Kerala for job/worship/livelihood/travel) or Tamilians who are staying in Kerala
or ON INNOCENT Keralites (Who are depended on Tamil Nadu for job/worship/livelihood/travel) or Keralites who are staying in Tamil Nadu.
 
Choice 2

The CORRUPTED POLITICIANS from both Kerala and Tamil Nadu who are trying for a longer route to solution or NO SOLUTION for this problem
so that they can use this situation for their political/vested interest by betting the safety (Dam safety for Keralites) or livelihood (Water guarantee for Tamil Nadu) of people?

What Aam Aadmi(Tamilians) wants to share

"We are on the verge of starvation," says Pon Murugan, a driver who has been out of his job for four days. "I don't think I will get my monthly income of Rs 5,000 this time. My family of four is surviving on my wife's daily wage of Rs 150," he says.
"We've been living like brothers," says Kavi Suresh, who works in a vineyard in Cumbum, about his relationship with Keralites. "Now that good feeling is gone. But we don't want to live in hatred forever. We want this issue to end at the earliest," he says. The vineyard he works in has ripe grapes waiting to be plucked.
"Kerala is our main market," says P Chinnu, who doubles up as a watchman at a vineyard. "With loads not moving to Kerala, we are forced to keep the fruits on the plants as long as they last."
A Threviyam, a farm labour in Cumbum, says there are 1,500 men like him staring at uncertainty. "I am worried about the dam which is our lifeline, but my bigger worry is to feed my family for the next few months. Please do something to put an end to all this trouble," he says. He sees his perishing livelihood in the rotting grapes.
Jobless for four days because of the curfew in the border districts, plantation and farm labourers who live in Tamil Nadu and work in Kerala have started feeling the pinch and want an immediate end to the impasse. Daily incomes of families have come down from Rs 500 to Rs 200 and, in some cases, nil.
Looking at smashed windshields of pilgrims’ buses and hearing horror stories of their being attacked in Kerala, we are scared to continue this pilgrimage. It is distressing because we have prepared for the Sabarimala trip with great devotion,” said a sad ‘Ayyappa saami’

What Aam Aadmi(Keralites) wants to share

Not any better are the cardamom farmers in Kerala, who may soon face a crisis without workers to pluck the spice.


It is a double whammy for Kerala farmers as the price of their produce plummets and the cost of vegetables, milk and other essentials that come from Tamil Nadu shoot up.


P N Surulivelu, who owns 30 acres of cardamom plantations in Idukki, says he has incurred a loss of Rs 85,000 in the last week.


"Birds are feasting on ripe cardamom as there is no one to pluck them. If the situation continues for a few more weeks, I will have to wind up everything and leave," he says.


The political tussle between Tamil Nadu and Kerala over the Mullaperiyar Dam has shifted to the streets of Chennai, Coimbatore and Thanjavur with Tamil groups attacking shops owned by Keralites and forcing them to shut down on Wednesday.
